Meet the

ExSR Team

  • President

    Jason Fisher - President

From the suburbs of Denver Colorado, Jason Fisher embraced music at an early age. He flirted with being a professional musician but heeded another call which would lead Jason on a 26 year long odyssey in the US Army. Music would always be with him on the journey. He would keep note and write poetry about his experiences and from time to time, he would find some like minded individuals, forming musical collaborations and bands. These would come and go over the years, but as he neared the end of his military career, an idea began to form. He was in a band, BoneSFork, which was starting to gel and create some interesting music. All the members of the band were either retired or retiring in the near future. Jason proposed to start their own record label. How hard could it be? The answer was hard. Very hard.

After several difficult years, the departure of the other founding members, and some soul searching, Jason elected to pick up the pieces of ExSR and forge ahead. This time he collected people with proven records of getting things done and who had at least some experience. As structures came into place and things started to grow new people came into the sphere. Some in the form of supporting businesses and firms, and others as mentors who shared their industry experience. Jason now sits as the guiding hand of the reinvigorated ExSR as it seeks out new music to bring to the world.

    David Cardenas - Operations

Growing up in Chicago, David has been involved in music since his early teens learning to play trumpet and percussion in the high school marching and jazz bands. This progressed into forming, writing for and managing his Metal/Punk garage band - Fiend, while furthering his guitar and vocals skills. Dave was into Chicago's Metal, Blues and Punk scene since the 1980’s frequenting the Exit, Neo’s, Delilah’s, Liar’s Club, Buddy Guy’s, Solomon’s Mines, Reggie’s Rock Club and the Cobra Lounge.

Taking some of his organizational skillsets while serving as an Operations Sergeant, he helps accomplish goals for the label and their bands.
